Custom Network Cable Configurator DETAILED User Manual 1. Introduction and Project Value of the Tool The Custom Network Cable Configurator is designed to simplify and optimize the complex configuration process for your fiber optic cable projects. This powerful tool not only provides data entry but also offers direct business benefits. It reduces the risk of project errors, saving time, costs, and CAPEX/OPEX. You can create your configuration at any time and access your project price. 2. Configurator Interface and Workflow All of our products consist of factory-pre-terminated fiber optic cables. You can produce products in four main product categories with this configurator. Trunk Cable (MTP to MTP) Fanout Cable (MTP to LC/SC) Multi-Fiber Distribution Cable (LC/SC to LC/SC) Patch Cable Details of our models and configurator names based on their intended use are as follows: CustomFlex: Indoor or outdoor cables for building installations CustomPrime: Cables for use in data centers CustomPatch: Non-standard fiber optic patch cables as needed. The selections in each configurator automatically activate or deactivate the relevant fields, meticulously determined and designed by Custom Network engineers, guiding the user. 3. Configurator General and Pop-Up Details CABLE TYPE The main category of the cable is selected from the drop-down menu based on its intended use (indoor or outdoor) and core count (2-24 or 36-144). Configurator-specific descriptions are as follows. CustomFlex: Indoor/Outdoor LSZH (2-24) = Indoor products with 2-24 cores Indoor/Outdoor LZSH Multitube (36-144) = Indoor products with 36-144 cores Outdoor MDPE (2-24) = Outdoor products with 2-24 cores (Steel armored, MDPE outer sheath) Outdoor HDPE Multitube (36-144) = Outdoor products with 36-144 cores (Steel armored, MDPE outer sheath) CustomPrime: Indoor/Outdoor LSZH (12-24) = Outdoor products with 12-24 cores CustomPatch: Indoor Patch Cable = 2-Tube Indoor Uniboot Cable = Single-Tube CPR = Select the desired CPR class for the project. B2CA covers CCA, DCA, ECA, and FCA CPR classes. ECA can be selected unless there is a special request. Outdoor cables do not have a CPR class due to the PE outer sheath. MODE = The mode of the fiber cable is selected according to the project specification or need. You can find a selection guide between SM and MM cables on our blog. FIBER TYPE = The fiber type is determined by the selected mode, and the appropriate product is selected. SM cables use G657A2 type fiber with high bending resistance. MM cables have three options: OM3, OM4, and OM5. CORE NUMBER = Selected according to your project. END A = Selected according to your project. END B = Selected according to your project. POLARITY = Selected according to your project. You can find a detailed selection guide on our blog. DRAWING RING = Used to protect the connectors if the cable is to be pulled and laid in the field. It can be added to both ends or only to the end to be pulled. METRICAL SIZE = Selected according to the project. QTY = Selected according to the project. ... 4. Adding Products to the Cart and Generating Product Codes After identifying the products needed for your project using the pop-up window, you can click the "Generate Product Code and Add to Cart" button to view the product code, description, and custom pricing. Add them to your cart and make your purchase. 5. Saving Your Cart and Converting Your Offers You must be a member to access this area. This creates a dedicated area where you can store your projects by name. You can save your projects in your dedicated area, revise them, and request custom pricing. You can also convert your offers into orders.
